Other Dive Sites
Hin Daeng (Red Rock) and Hin Muang (Purple Rock)
Everybody has their favourites but Hin Daeng and Hin Muang, should be on many diver’s top ten list. This site is often considered to be the best diving in Thailand, including the Similans.
Hin Daeng may look insignificant from the surface, but once you are under water you will be surprised by the sheer quantity of life that clings to the reef. On the walls you can find plenty of lionfish and morray eels. While on the shallower sections that are carpeted with anemones, small fish schools around rock outcroppings and fan corals. If you like the bigger stuff, this is the place to go.
The far edges of both Hin Daeng and Hin Muang are cleaning stations for Manta rays and without a doubt this is the best place in Thailand to spot them. Some weeks we can almost guarantee that you see these amazing giants. An other giant – the whale shark – is also a regular visitor on this site.
Hin Daeng and Hin Muang are not the easiest places to dive however, so we advise customers to have their Advanced Open Water certification or at least their Deep Adventure dive before coming on this trip.
Koh Ha (Five Islands)
Koh Ha dive sites are amazing and accessible by all divers. This group of 5 islands is a magnificent spot with caverns and swim through to explore.
The water is usually very clear. The Emerald Cave site is just superb and is one of the highlights of scuba diving in Ko Haa.
There are dive sites for every level of diver. Beginner divers will enjoy easy diving on the reef while experienced divers will be challenged on offshore dive sites.
